Forcier Stage Works

Forcier Stage Works is a contemporary dance company that gives life to choreographic projects directed by Marie France Forcier, known for combining original, athletic movement with substantial musing matter and resulting into polished works.

Strongly believing in the worth of independent performance practice, FSW likes to collaborate with a roster of returning independent artists, contracted on a project by project basis, who remain free to work, learn and express themselves with a wide range of other inspiring collaborators.

New Creation and Commission by Sharon Moore on its Way

Forcier Stage Works is back in creative process! After taking the last season off to recharge on new resources and ideas, we are very excited to work on new choreography.

This season and for the first time since its inception, Forcier Stage Works commissions Canadian choreographer Sharon Moore to create a work on Heather Berry, Marie France Forcier, Molly Johnson, Brendan Wyatt and new comer Erika-Leigh Stirton.

A former member of Contemporary Dancers of Canada under the direction of Tedd Robinson, Sharon Moore is now a choreographer, director and movement coach for dance, film, theatre and circus. She is an award winning creator and performer working for companies across North America. In early 2007 she became the first Canadian honored with a Bessie Schonberg Choreographic Award Residency at The Yard on Martha’s Vineyard.

Her piece will appear on a program shared with a new work by Marie France Forcier for Berry, Johnson, Stirton and Wyatt.

The production will premiere in Toronto on April 15th -17th 2010. Stay tuned!
